How to Play Fastrack – Timberdoodle Vodcast #0092

From Timberdoodle.com:
Pull out Fastrack and watch his eyes light up. Fastrack is a beautiful solid wood tray with elastic bands across each end and a bridge in the middle. Using the elastic band like a slingshot, players simultaneously try to shoot five wooden disks under the bridge to the other side. Be quick and aim well because the Fastrack bridge opening is barely bigger than the disks.

The first player with no disks on his side wins. Your child’s need of shooting accuracy and lightning-fast timing will increase his dexterity and reflexes, while sharpening visual perception and strategic thinking. Simple, exciting, but small enough to be portable, Fastrack is rowdy fun for everyone!

What Is Pajaggle? Video Demo – Timberdoodle Vodcast #0089

From Timberdoodle.com:
Because of its distinctive multi-sensory emphasis, Pajaggle provides exceptional educational benefits untouched by other puzzles. In addition to increasing your child’s reasoning ability, the multi-sensory process actually means activity is happening on both sides of the brain. That increase of activity has been linked to improved concentration, attentiveness, and mental sharpness in both children and adults.

Many game variations, some quite complex, are outlined in the Pajaggle playbook. To get the most out of group games, we encourage you to purchase more than one Pajaggle Game, in different color combinations. Each Pajaggle comes with 61 super-sturdy polycarbonate pieces, Pajaggle playbook, timer, and storage box.

How to Play Morphology – Timberdoodle Vodcast #0086

Morphology is a fun, fast game for any size group, from 4 to 40 or more.

From Timberdoodle.com:
Morphology is the perfect balance of competition and collaboration. Using wooden pawns, glass beads, small colorful wooden blocks, a bit of string, popsicle sticks, and more, Morphology asks players to create an image for their teammates to identify. Without spelling out the words or speaking, the creator/player assumes the role of a puppeteer rather than that of an actor. From “butterfly” to “nose hairs,” if the teammates can guess the word within the allotted time, their team frog moves forward toward the finish.

Morphology is one of those rare games that allows for social interaction with mixed age groups and is so straightforward that it is almost intuitive to play. Plus, since it does not require complex rules, non-gamers are not frightened away.

If you are familiar with Settlers, the game often-touted as “best strategy game ever!” then you know that everyone has been looking forward to Settlers of America, the newest game in the series. Settlers of America Trails to Rails

From Our Online Store:
“Are you looking for a game that will evaluate not only your strategy but also your character? Settlers of America Trails to Rails, the latest of the Catan History series, will put to the test both your ability to outmaneuver your opponents, and your capacity to do so with grace. As in all Catan games, Settlers of America Trails to Rails‘ key ingredient is constant player interaction, which means virtually no down time and lots of opportunity for personality quirks to be exposed.

Race to Deliver the Most Goods
Settlers of America Trails to Rails combines the award-winning strategy of the Catan series with the remarkable history of American westward expansion. Players collect and trade resources in order to build settlements, acquire locomotives and railroad routes, then race with other players to deliver the most goods.

Twists and Turns Consistent with the 19th Century
Players start with cities east of the Mississippi River and instead of knights and monopolies, cattle drives, cavalry, scouts and the abundant resources of the west require players to travel west in order to expand. There are a number of twists and turns with Settlers of America involving the earning of gold, the devaluation of land, and the dwindling of resources as the population grows, all in keeping with life in the 19th century…” Read The Rest or Shop Now Here!
